Meet Maria
Maria grew up in Manzanita, a small coastal beach town in Oregon. She stayed in Oregon for college to study sociology and business at the University of Oregon. Shortly after graduating, she moved to San Francisco and lived there for over a decade before moving to Marin County in 2012.
Prior to her career in real estate, Maria spent over 15 years in investment research. She began her career at Smith Barney, working for one of the top advisors in the country, serving a high net-worth client base. Years later she transitioned to the institutional market working with corporations, public pension plans, foundations and endowments. She last served as a Vice President of Global Manager Research at Callan, a firm with over $3 trillion in assets under advisement. Through her extensive work in the financial industry, Maria developed strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Maria expressed interest in real estate from a young age, inspired by her grandmother's career as a REALTOR®. In high school she worked at a local real estate firm during summer vacation. Maria has always been passionate about helping others and has found fulfillment through her career.
Outside of work, Maria spends time with her two boys, Niko and Aleks, and her husband Travis. As a soccer, football, baseball, and golf mom she is often found on the sidelines cheering on their teams. Maria also serves as an executive member on the board of directors at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. She regularly volunteers in the classroom helping with learning centers and room parent responsibilities.
